THIS IS A TRUE STORY'BELEIVE IT OR DON'T.
For some weird reason,I sent a drawing to Marvel.The original,not a copy as a practical joke.It was called the Incredible Spider-Hulk-a sort of composite Peter Parker/Bruce Banner creation,that transforms get this into a composite Spider-Man /Incredible Hulk.I don't why I drew it,since I don't generally draw that sort of thing.I don't really care much for superhero teamups and think less of composite heroes.But back in the early 1990's I was feeling stupid.I was much pissed off at the stuff MARVEL COMICS was putting out.I was generally tired of anything Big,bad Jim Shooter was doing since Marvel Secret Wars.So what I do?I sent Jim Shooter the drawing,saying this is the kind of character,you guys will love.I guess,I figured Shooter would open the envelope and say,get the fuck out of here and throw it out a window,knowing it was some sort of prank.
Well,no-like Star Treks Specre of the Gun and Spocks Brain,the joke was on me,it got published as a web of Spider-Man-a book I don't and never read ever.What scare isn't that Marvel printed my idea.I don't a SPIDER-HULK character is worth crap,other a single comic.Certainly,no one has yet to turn it into a series orsomething.No what scare me is how many other people did something like me over the years.Some of them,could turn into big seller like Wolverine or the punisher.
So remembers,boys and girls-DON'T ANYTHING YOU CREATED TO MARVEL OR DC COMICS-EVEN AS A JOKE,BECAUSE DUH.....YOU JUST MIGHT SEE IT IN PRINT SOMEDAY.
In the midst of battling the Hulk in Web Of Spider-Man #69, Spider-Man was zapped with a Biokinetic Energy Absorber that was in the same vicinity as the Incredible Hulk...Of course this meant huge quantities of Gamma Radiation was present and Spidey went on to Smash!...At least temporarily in Web Of Spider-Man #70!
