Killing of bin Laden

Killing of bin Laden news from nutball department

The U.S. national security team gathered in the White House Situation Room to monitor the progress of Operation Neptune Spear. See also:The Situation Room (photograph).
The SEALs encountered the residents in the compound's guest house, in the main building on the first floor where two adult males lived, and on the second and third floors where bin Laden lived with his family. The second and third floors were the last section of the compound to be cleared.[88] There were reportedly "small knots of children ... on every level, including the balcony of bin Laden's room".[72]
Osama bin Laden was killed in the raid, and initial versions said three other men and a woman were killed as well: bin Laden's adult son Khalid,[89][90] bin Laden's courier (Abu Ahmed al-Kuwaiti), al-Kuwaiti's brother Abrar, and Abrar's wife Bushra.[55]
An intelligence official told Seymour Hersh in 2015 that no fire-fight took place. In the earlier versions, Al-Kuwaiti is said to have opened fire on the first team of SEALs with an AK-47 from behind the guesthouse door, lightly injuring a SEAL with bullet fragments. A short firefight took place between al-Kuwaiti and the SEALs, in which al-Kuwaiti was killed.[3][91] His wife Mariam was allegedly shot and wounded in the right shoulder.[92][93] The courier's male relative Abrar was then said to have been shot and killed by the SEALs' second team on the first floor of the main house. A woman near him, later identified as Abrar's wife Bushra, was, in this version, also shot and killed. Bin Laden's young adult son is said to have encountered the SEALs on the staircase of the main house, and to have been shot and killed by the second team.[3][69][90][91][94] An unnamed U.S. senior defense official stated that only one of the five people killed, Abu Ahmed al-Kuwaiti, was armed.[95] The interior of the house was pitch dark, because CIA operatives had cut the power to the neighborhood.[59] However, the SEALs wore night vision goggles.
The SEALs encountered bin Laden on the third floor of the main building.[69][96] Bin Laden was "wearing the local loose-fitting tunic and pants known as a kurta paijama", which were later found to have €500 and two phone numbers sewn into the fabric.[58][86][91]
Bin Laden peered through his bedroom door at the Americans advancing up the stairs, and then retreated into the room as the lead SEAL fired a shot at him, which either missed or hit him in the side. Robert O’Neill, who later publicly identified himself as the SEAL who shot bin Laden,[97][98] rolled through the door and confronted bin Laden inside the bedroom. Seymour Hersh reports that, according to his sources, Bin Laden was found cowering and shot dead.[99]
O'Neill states that bin Laden was standing behind a woman with his hands on her shoulders, pushing her forward. O'Neill immediately shot bin Laden twice in the forehead, then once more as bin Laden crumpled to the floor.[100] Matt Bissonnette, who entered the room at about the same time, also claims to have fired shots into bin Laden's fallen body.[101] Simultaneously, in these versions, one of bin Laden's wives, Amal Ahmed Abdul Fatah is said to have screamed at the SEALs in Arabic and motioned as if she were about to charge. The lead SEAL shot her in the leg, then grabbed both women and shoved them aside. The weapon used to kill bin Laden was a HK416allegedly using 5.56mm NATO 77-grain OTM (open-tip match) rounds made by Black Hills Ammunition.[59][102] The SEAL team leader radioed, "For God and country—Geronimo, Geronimo, Geronimo", and then, after being prompted by McRaven for confirmation, "Geronimo E.K.I.A." (enemy killed in action). Watching the operation in the White House Situation Room, Obama said, "We got him."[3][55][59]
There were, in these reports, said to be two weapons near bin Laden in his room, including an AKS-74U carbine and a Russian-madeMakarov pistol, but according to his wife Amal, he was shot before he could reach his AKS-74U.[103][104] According to the Associated Press, the guns were on a shelf next to the door and the SEALs did not see them until they were photographing the body.[49][72]
As the SEALs encountered women and children during the raid, they restrained them with plastic handcuffs or zip ties.[69] After the raid was over, U.S. forces moved the surviving residents outside[51] "for Pakistani forces to discover".[69] The injured Amal Ahmed Abdul Fatah continued to harangue the raiders in Arabic.[55] Bin Laden's 12-year-old daughter Safia was allegedly struck in her foot or ankle by a piece of flying debris.[3][105][106]
While bin Laden's body was taken by U.S. forces, the bodies of the four others killed in the raid were left behind at the compound and later taken into Pakistani custody.[32][107]

Wrap-up

USS Carl Vinson conducting flight operations in the Persian Gulf (April 4, 2011)
The raid was intended to take 40 minutes. All told, the time between the team's entry in and exit from the compound was 38 minutes.[54] According to the Associated Press, the military offensiveaspect of the raid was completed in the first 15 minutes.[72]
Time in the compound was spent killing defenders,[88] "moving carefully through the compound, room to room, floor to floor" securing the women and children, clearing "weapons stashes and barricades"[69] including a false door,[108] and searching the compound for information.[27] U.S. personnel recovered three AK-47s and two pistols, ten computer hard drives, documents, DVDs, almost a hundred thumb drives, a dozen cell phones, and "electronic equipment" for later analysis.[54][109][110] The SEALs also discovered a large amount of opium stored in the house.[111]
Since the helicopter that had made the emergency landing was damaged and unable to fly the team out, it was destroyed to safeguard its classified equipment, including an apparent stealth capability.[80] The pilot smashed "the instrument panel, the radio, and the other classified fixtures inside the cockpit", and the SEALs "[packed] the helicopter with explosives and [blew] it up". Since the SEAL team was reduced to one operational helicopter, one of the two Chinooks held in reserve was dispatched to carry part of the team and bin Laden's body out of Pakistan.[34][55][58][112]
While the official Department of Defense narrative did not mention the airbases used in the operation,[113] later accounts indicated that the helicopters returned to Bagram Airfield.[72] The body of Osama bin Laden was flown from Bagram to the aircraft carrier Carl Vinsonin a V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft escorted by two U.S. Navy F/A-18 fighter jets.[114][115]
According to U.S. officials, bin Laden was buried at sea because no country would accept his remains.[116] Before disposing of the body, the U.S. called the Saudi government, who approved of burying the body in the ocean.[55] Muslim religious rites were performed aboardCarl Vinson in the North Arabian Sea within 24 hours of bin Laden's death. Preparations began at 10:10 am local time and at-sea burial was completed at 11 am. The body was washed, wrapped in a white sheet and placed in a weighted plastic bag. An officer read prepared religious remarks which were translated into Arabic by a native speaker. Afterward, bin Laden's body was placed onto a flat board. The board was tilted upward on one side and the body slid off into the sea.[117][118]
In Worthy Fights: A Memoir of Leadership in War and Peace,[119] Leon Panetta wrote that bin Laden's body was draped in a white shroud, given final prayers in Arabic and placed inside a black bag loaded with heavy metals of 300 pounds of iron chains inside apparently to ensure that it would sink and never float. The body bag was placed on a white table at the rail of the ship, and the table was tipped to let the body bag slide into the sea, but the body bag did not slide and took the table with it. The table bobbed on the surface while the weighted body sank into the depths.[119]

Of Penn Book Store bum,Jesus Joey Bauer believes like Hat Squade CIA  Nutter believe bin Laden is still alive, because no one saw the body, must still alive and like a comic villian made Fu Manchua, using Jame Bond Bathie Sub,made his escape to the Phantom Zone.

Darth Bane

Darth Bane (Dessel) renewed the Sith order and established the Rule of Two. This rule stated that there must be only two Sith Lords at a time: a master to embody power, and an apprentice to covet it and eventually overthrow his master and adopt an apprentice of his own.[7]

Darth Caedus

Darth Caedus (Jacen Solo) is the son of Han Solo and Leia Orgaolo and the nephew of Luke Skywalker. He is a major character in several Star Wars novelna Ss, particularly the New Jedi Order and Legacy of the Force series. Events during the Legacy of the Force lead the young Jedi to embrace the dark side, and become Darth Caedus. Around 40 years after the Battle of Yavin, after a prolonged conflict with his former brethren, Darth Caedus was killed in combat by his own twin sister, the Jedi Jaina Solo.[8][9]

Darth Krayt

Darth Krayt (A'Sharad Hett), The main antagonist of the Star Wars: Legacy comic series. He served during the Clone Wars, but managed to survive the early stages of the Great Jedi Purge and exiled himself to Tatooine, but fled Tatooine after encountering Obi-Wan Kenobi. He fled to Korriban, where he was trained as a Sith Lord. After several hundred years in an extended period of stasis, Krayt formed the One Sith and overthrew the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, forming a new Sith Empire in its place.

Darth Maul

Darth Maul was the first apprentice of Darth Sidious. In Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Darth Maul is sent by his master to find and capture the escaped Queen Amidala. Later on, he ends up dueling Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi sent to protect Amidala. Wielding a double-bladed lightsaber, Maul is able to defeat Kenobi's master and friend, Qui-Gon Jinn, before falling to Obi-Wan Kenobi in the same duel. Decades later, during the Clone Wars, his brother Savage Opress found him dumped in the junk world of Lotho Minor, where it was revealed that Maul was able to survive the injuries from his last duel due to his strength with the dark side of the Force, which was fueled by his anger against Kenobi.

Darth Nihilus

Darth Nihilus appears in The Sith Lords and in the Star Wars: Legacy comic series. Darth Traya found and trained Nihilus; Nihilus and Darth Sion later betrayed her. The player's character eventually defeats Nihilus.[11] IGN also put the character as their 56th top Star Wars character.[12]

Darth Plagueis

Darth Plagueis (Hego Damask) was a powerful Sith Lord mentioned by Palpatine in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith in a conversation with Anakin Skywalker. He was the master of Darth Sidious and, as the latter tells Anakin, became so powerful that he was able to overcome death and create life. The novel Star Wars: Darth Plagueis reveals his name and identified him as a Muun, one of the race that headed the Intergalactic Banking Clan and which joined the Separatist Alliance during the Clone Wars. Plagueis was eventually killed in his sleep by Darth Sidious.

Darth Revan

Darth Revan (Revan) declared war on The Old Republic. A Famous Jedi Hero, Revan led the Republic to victory in the Mandalorian Wars. After the conflict, however, he and his apprentice Malak unwittingly discovered the Sith Empire in the Unknown Reaches of Space. The Sith Emperor turned Revan and Malak to the Dark Side, but the two broke free from the his control and formed their own Sith Empire to wage war on the Republic, with Revan as the Dark Lord and Malak as his Apprentice. As the Dark Lord of the Sith prepared to battle with the Jedi who boarded his flagship, the apprentice Darth Malak, in the hopes of destroying both Revan and Bastila Shan, betrayed his Master, ordering the ships under his command to fire on Revan's flagship's bridge. Revan was critically injured and taken by Bastila Shan to the Jedi Council Enclave. The Council chose to wipe Revan's memory, and imprint him with a false identity.Knights of the Old Republic begins with Revan awaking on a starship under attack. Revan eventually encounters Malak, who tells Revan that he is the former Sith Lord. Later, Revan defeats Darth Malak, claiming victory for the Republic.

Darth Sidious

Darth Sidious (Palpatine) rose to power from being a Senator of Naboo, to Supreme Chancellor, to self-proclaimed Emperor of the Galactic Empire. This was achieved through double agents and a cleverly orchestrated sequence of events done under his alternate identity, Palpatine, who gained respect in the Old Republic while secretly participating in Sith practices and planning an end to the Jedi Order. He had three known Sith apprentices: Darth Maul, Darth Tyranus and Darth Vader. He was eventually killed by the latter, Anakin Skywalker, at the end ofStar Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.

Darth Tyranus

Darth Tyranus (Count Dooku) was a fallen Jedi and the second apprentice of Darth Sidious. It is revealed in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, that Tyranus had a prominent role in engineering the Clone Wars, recruiting bounty hunter Jango Fett to become the template for an army of clones to be used by the Galactic Republic. Tyranus led the Separatist Alliance during the Clone Wars until he met his demise while dueling Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.

Darth Vader

Darth Vader (Anakin Skywalker) was the first Sith Lord shown on-screen, appearing in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. As a Jedi Knight, he was known as Anakin Skywalker and fought in the Clone Wars against the Separatist Alliance. He slowly turned to the dark side with the help of Darth Sidious. After helping Sidious kill Jedi Master Mace Windu, he swore allegiance to the Sith and became his third apprentice. As the Galactic Empire was established and continued to grow, Darth Vader became the Emperor's greatly feared second in command and was given the task of finding the Rebel Alliance's base. After the destruction of the Death Star, Vader was charged with tracking down the Rebel Alliance and destroying their headquarters. However, the actions of his son Luke Skywalker eventually turned Vader against his master, resulting in both Sidious' and Vader's deaths.[17]
